We always hope to be playing our best ball at the end of the season and the girls showed up and did just that last night! In the Section 7AAAA Semifinals, we beat Anoka 5-4 in walk-off fashion behind a combined pitching performance by Emmie and Hannah and doubles in the bottom of the 7th by Jade and Annika to capture the win. Allison, Annika, Hannah, Jade and Maddy all picked up two hits. In the finals, Hannah pitched another gem, allowing only three hits against #6 Forest Lake. Unfortunately, we fell short, losing 1-2 and our season came to a close.

The 2021 Section 7AAAA Tournament has been announced! Your Blaine Bengals finished the season with a 12-8 record in a tough Northwest Suburban Conference and earned a #2 seed in the Section 7AAAA Tournament. They will take on Cambridge-Isanti to start the tournament on Wednesday, June 3, 4:30 p.m. at Bengal Field. The tournament is double elimination. Click here to download the bracket.

Here is a summary of the fundraising options available to players. The fundraising goal is $200 per player. 

• Raffle Tickets: Each player was given 10 tickets as part of their player pack. These tickets are yours to keep for yourself or sell. If you sell these tickets, you keep the cash (as you have already paid for them). These tickets/sales DO NOT count toward the fundraising goal. If you received additional raffle tickets, every ticket you sell goes towards your fundraising goal. Tickets are in packs of 10 tickets so each packet you sell is $50 towards your fundraising goal. If you would like additional raffle tickets, please contact the boosters at blainebengalsoftball@gmail.com with the player name, team and the number of packs (10 tickets per pack) you would like. We will then make arrangements to get them to you.   
• Snap! Raise Fundraiser: This is an online fundraiser. You receive 80% of all dollars raised through this program. Use this link to create an account/profile and then share the campaign page with family and friends.  
• Kwik Trip Car Wash Cards: Car wash cards include 5 Ultimate Car Washes. Cards are sold for $35 each. Of that amount, $15 goes towards fundraising goals.  We are currently sold out of these cards. If there is still interest in selling these cards, please respond to this email and if there is enough interest, we will order more.  

Soon we will announce days that someone will be at practice to collect ticket stubs and payments.  Please hold on to all fundraising items until then.  THANK YOU!

The schedule for the first two weeks has been announced, including tryouts and practices. Tryouts will take place outside on the BHS softball fields on these dates: 

• Monday, March 29: 3-5 p.m., tryouts
  Please arrive early (2:30 p.m.) 
• *Tuesday, March 30: 3-5 p.m., tryouts
• *Wednesday, March 31: 3-5 p.m., tryouts

*The weather is questionable for Tuesday and Wednesday, so we may need to move indoors. Our scheduled gym time is 4:30-6:15 p.m. these days. 

Per the MSHSL, masks must be worn by players and coaches at all times.

Managing a spring schedule is never easy with Minnesota weather, but we are excited to be outside this early this season. COVID has provided additional scheduling challenges, so we will do our best to keep the website updated and communicate with players and families. Thanks for your patience!

Players and parents - we need your help getting our fields prepared for the season. Please join us for field clean up on Sunday, March 28 at 2 p.m. at the BHS Softball Fields.
