Coaching philosophy
We challenge each player to push themselves and make mistakes. This is when we can truly coach and athletes
improve. Mistakes made from pushing ourselves express our desire to improve and give everything. This should be fun and rewarding. Challenge yourself to see mistakes positively. We believe this team is a family. You don’t have to like each other every day, but you do have to respect each other. You need to be honest in all dealings with this team. You will always get an honest answer from us and we expect the same from you. We believe in each member of this program until you show us otherwise. If you do not work or are not committed, we won’t believe you can be successful. If you work hard, support your teammates, and the direction of this program, you will have and feel our support. |
We will practice as we expect to play and that is: competitive, tough, mature, effective, and efficient. We will practice for results with no regrets. We will practice in a positive manner to achieve positive ends. We will
support one another while working to meet our individual goals. We will be “coachable” and accept comments as caring. We will push ourselves before others must pull us along. We will play the players who will give us the opportunity to win and in roles that will create our best chance for success as a team. No matter her age or years with the team. Each player’s challenge will be to accept their role and respect each of their teammate’s roles. We believe all players and their roles are important and may change throughout the season. We want to win. We believe we can win. This is one of our goals. Our primary goal is to make you better people, shape your character, prepare you for life, and provide you with a great experience that always brings you back. You are what little girls want to be and what alumni remember with great pride of what was once theirs. |
